Eddie an...Great account of "The Trip" .. <br />Eddie and Cleia Gammon, not sure if they were on honeymoon, but Cleia was from Recife, which was where they got married .. <br />The Second Engineer was "Luke the Spook" .. aka Luka Madegwa. Something of a totally laid back Glaswegian, with a taste for women. The Chief was another laid back guy, John Dalrymple with his wife Viv, smashing lady whom seemed to have eyes for Luka!<br /><br />Great PO's, Great crew. Chinese, be fair to them and they were great hardworking lads. And the food was fantastic, certainly learnt a lot about real Chinese grub!<br />Can recall a few runs ashore, plus playing boats in harbour, Luanda being one. <br />Magic to come across your 'piece', brought back a lot of memories! <br />Andy Farrer.
